Grassroots Advocacy
We’re building a statewide network of parents, policymakers, school districts, and other stakeholders who are committed to literacy education reform in their communities and the state.

With the passage of 2023 Wisconsin Act 20, our work has just begun.
Now, the effort shifts to monitoring implementation, supporting parents, and ensuring school district compliance while highlighting success stories along the way. By promoting implementation of literacy reforms in schools and equipping parents with knowledge of their children’s rights, we will ensure every child receives the education that they deserve.
Parent Advocacy Tools
We’re developing a variety of advocacy resources to share your story and ensure literacy reform and outcomes are a priority for all Wisconsin students.
Personal Reading Plan Resource
Implemented as part of Wisconsin 2023 Act 20, a Personal Reading Plan (PRP) is a school-based literacy intervention program designed for students in kindergarten through third grade who are reading below the 25th percentile. It aims to accelerate reading progress and close the achievement gap by providing targeted instruction and support to struggling readers.
